Returned mom-to-be Rachael makes a brave decision that could save her own life and that of her unborn child. Plus, Marty finally reveals his big secret to Maggie and their relationship may never be the same again. All that and more on the Nov. 9 episode of ‘Resurrection’!
Rachael’s (Kathleen Munroe) health is fading fast after she was infected with the deadly virus that’s preying on the returned. An untested government cure seems to be her only hope of surviving, but is she willing to take the chance? Read on for the full recap of the Nov. 9 episode of Resurrection!
‘Resurrection’: Rachael’s Baby Safe After Returned Mom-To-Be Refuses Virus Cure
Rachael is at the heart of tonight’s Resurrection, so it’s only appropriate that the episode kicks off in the darkest corner of her mind. Rachael has a chilling and vivid nightmare that turns out to be surprisingly rooted in reality. In the dream, she sees Margaret (Michelle Fairley) and the 1930s fire at the Langston family factory that was apparently responsible for the deaths of some of the original returned.
Even though Rachael doesn’t think much of it, we soon see that on the other side of town, Margaret has woken up from the very same dream! She asks Jacob (Landon Jimenez) if he knows someone named Rachael — this is definitely going to be trouble.
For right now, though, Rachael has a much bigger concern. She’s basically on her death bed and there seems to be only one thing that can save her — the serum cure that Marty (Omar Epps) brought back from the government hospital where he had been riding out his case of the virus. The only problem is, the cure hasn’t been tested on that many people and Rachael is terrified that it could hurt her unborn child.
Meanwhile, fear of the returned and the virus is escalating, causing some Arcadians to form an anti-returned group called True Living. And now one of the members is the first of the non-returned to be infected with the virus! The victim is Elaine’s (Samaire Armstrong) brother, Ray (Travis Young), and even though he’s in terrible pain, Dr. Maggie (Devin Kelley) learns that she can’t give him the serum because it doesn’t work on the living.
‘Resurrection’: Rachael’s Choice
Everyone thinks Rachael is crazy to refuse the cure — so crazy in fact that Marty and Pastor Tom (Mark Hildreth) try to slip her the serum while she’s sleeping — so creepy! Maggie comes in and stops them at the last minute, and thank goodness she does because Rachael wakes up the next morning feeling healthy as a horse!
Maggie is shocked by Marty’s actions and she demands to know why he was so sure the serum would work on Rachael. And that’s when he finally breaks down and confesses that he is one of the returned and that the serum healed him from the virus! Maggie is understandably super hurt and angry that Marty didn’t tell her sooner. We don’t know how these two are going to come back from this betrayal!
Meanwhile, Deputy Crazy Carl (Christopher Berry) has whipped the True Living group into a frenzy and now they’re out for the returned’s blood. They even go out and mark the door of every returned person in town! It looks like some of our favorite characters are in grave danger!
