Fans understandably freaked out on Nov. 6 when a vicious death rumor swept the internet about Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin, 34. Macaulay finally spoke out about the crazy death rumor at his band’s show at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas on Nov. 8!
Macaulay Culkin’s Death Hoax: Actor Responds To Rumor
“I’m alive!” Macaulay told fans at Fun Fun Fun Fest, according to Twitter user Jen Clapp.
Good one, Macaulay! His band, The Pizza Underground, performed in Austin in the midst of Macaulay’s online drama.
The actor seems to making light of a terrible rumor. The fake report came from a site called MSNBC.website.com. The URL for the fake website looks familiar to the actual MSNBC site, which probably prompted the confusion.
The report claimed that Macaulay had been found dead in his Manhattan apartment and it quickly spread like wildfire across social media.
Fans were worried that their favorite child star had indeed passed away, but this was just another hoax that continues to plague celebrities like Macaulay and Miley Cyrus, 21.
In even more twisted news, Macaulay has been the subject of death hoaxes before. When will they stop?!
We’re just glad to know that Macaulay is alive and well. Thankfully, he isn’t taking it too seriously. Let’s hope this is the end of the Macaulay Culkin death hoaxes.
