NASCAR driver Kurt Busch has been accused by ex-girlfriend Patricia Driscoll of domestic violence after he allegedly smashed her head into a wall several times back in September after a race gone wrong.

One week after their relationship ended, NASCAR driver Kurt Busch, 36, allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend, Patricia Driscoll, 36, in his motorhome. This, according to documents filed by his ex, in which she has ordered that Kurt stay away from her and not contact her.

In the documents, filed Nov. 5, Patricia alleges that Kurt called her names and accused her of “having spies everywhere and having a camera on the bus to watch him.” That’s when he allegedly jumped up and smashed her head against a wall three times, an incident which Patricia reports caused her to experience severe pain, bruising, and difficulty breathing.

The alleged incident occurred in Dover, Delaware, on Sept. 26; Kurt was upset after a poor performance in the qualifying rounds at the Dover International Speedway.

Kurt was so upset that “he said he wished he had a gun so that he could kill himself,” say the court documents.

A hearing is scheduled for December 2.

Kurt Busch & Attorneys Deny Claims; NASCAR Is Awaiting Further Information

Meanwhile, Kurt and his attorneys have blasted Patricia’s claims. “This allegation is a complete fabrication by a woman who has refused to accept the end of a relationship,” Kurt’s attorney, Rusty Hardin, tells TMZ, “and Mr. Busch vehemently denies her allegations in every respect.” (Rusty is also Adrian Peterson‘s lawyer.)

“The Dover Police Department has been informed that Mr. Busch will fully cooperate with their investigation and he expects to be vindicated when the entire truth of the situation comes to light,” Rusty finished.

As TMZ reports, Kurt is acknowledging that the two got into an argument, but he denies that it ever got physical.

NASCAR’s statement on the situation is as follows:

“NASCAR is aware of the investigation involving driver Kurt Busch. We recognize the seriousness of this matter and are actively gathering information from all parties, including law enforcement authorities and Stewart-Haas Racing. It would be inappropriate for NASCAR to comment further on this matter until we have more information.”
