Miley Cyrus put on a pretty stellar (and psychedelic) performance of the Beatles’ ‘A Day In The Life’ alongside The Flaming Lips on the Nov. 6 episode of ‘Conan’ — check it out!

Miley Cyrus, 21, has made no secret of the fact that she is all about the ’60s. Her Bangerz tour is absolutely jam-packed with psychedelic imagery, and she loves covering old classics from the ’60s and ’70s to the ire of boring people everywhere and to the delight of people who don’t take themselves so seriously. On the Nov. 6 episode of Conan, she hit the stage alongside The Flaming Lips to perform a cover of the Beatles classic “A Day In The Life” — check it out!

Miley Cyrus’ ‘Conan’ Performance — Sings ‘A Day In The Life’ With Flaming Lips

In true Miley fashion, the whole performance is kind of bonkers from beginning to end. Lead vocalist for The Flaming Lips, Wayne Coyne, is similarly known for some pretty crazy onstage looks.

The performance starts with Wayne dressed in a huge circus tent-sized metallic muumuu of sorts. Once “A Day In The Life” finishes its first, more dire verse, that’s when Miley crawls out from beneath Wayne’s muumuu amid the orchestral cacophony,

She totally outdid Wayne in her nude, spangly bodysuit and by capping it off with a metallic wig. Miley sounded great, and you could tell that she and the rest of the band were having a ton of fun.

Miley Cyrus Features On The Flaming Lips’ ‘With A Little Help From My Fwends’

The Flaming Lips have actually released a full album cover of The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Miley features on “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds” alongside MobyWith A Little Help From My Fwends was released on Oct. 28.

If you want more of Miley singing classic music, check out her cover of Led Zeppelin‘s “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You,” and her cover of The Smiths‘ “There Is A Light That Never Goes Out.”

Her cover of Lana Del Rey‘s “Summertime Sadness” doesn’t really fit the theme here, but it’s actually better than the original, so, give it a listen! Miley is a legitimately good singer, you guys. Haters to the left.

So, HollywoodLifers, did like Miley’s performance with The Flaming Lips? Did it “turn you on?” Let us know!
