Talk about a hot couple! Miley Cyrus, 21, and Patrick Schwarzenegger, 21, may be a new item, but their budding romance is already facing a major obstacle — Patrick’s mom, Maria Shriver. A source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that not only is Maria not a fan of their rumored relationship, but she is, “getting some support from other family members!”

Sounds like Miley and Patrick will have to do quite a bit of convincing to get Maria on board. A source exclusively told HollywoodLife.com, “It is beyond true that Maria Shriver disapproves of the relationship that Patrick is starting with Miley. She is so controlling when it comes to the image of the family and this is eating her up inside.”

It sounds like Maria is not the only one in the family who has some doubts about this couple being a good match. Our source revealed, “She is getting some support from other family members as well, but she isn’t getting the same support from Arnold because Arnold is happy with whatever Patrick gets himself into in the girls department.”

As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Miley and Patrick spend Halloween together! A source told US Weekly, “They spent Halloween at the Roosevelt Hotel, then went to her house for the night.”

While this romance may be new, it is not the first time that Miley and Patrick have been linked. According to the source, Miley and Patrick had a fling back in 2011 when the “Wrecking Ball” singer was on a break with Liam. However at the time, Miley, “thought Patrick was a kid, but he’s grown a lot.”

Her opinion of him seems to have changed because the insider revealed that he now finds him “hot” — and we can totally see why!
