Lucy Hale At Country Music Association Awards — Gorgeous Hair & Makeup
We’ve always loved that Lucy experiments with her beauty look — and tonight is no exception! We’re digging her smokey eyes and bright red lip that worked perfectly with her retro-inspiried hair! Normally, we’d recommend only choosing one focal point with a beauty look, but Lucy’s got all the confidence to pull off bold lips and bold eyes!
The key to pulling off Lucy’s look is to use softer, more muted tones for the smokey eye. Here, we can see that Lucy’s makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan used more neutral browns as opposed to a harsher black shade. Kelsey explains below:
“We chose warm brown shades from mark.’s On The Dot Bold Eye Color Compact. The left, middle shadow was swept over the entire eyelid. Next, the shadow in the lower left side of the compact the first was applied to the outside corners with a tapered brush then smudged underneath to elongate the eye. Tracing mark.’s No Place to Run Eyeliner in foxy brown along the top lash line as well as the same liner in jet set on top and bottom waterlines outlined with subtle softness. I finished off eyes with a few generous coats of mark. Lash Act Build and Define Mascara in black. Using an angled brush I defined the brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Duo in medium brown.”
For Lucy’s face, Kelsey blended “Armani’s Luminous Foundation in 6 into the skin and sealed with Laura Mercier Foundation Powder in 4. Sweeping mark. Glowdacious Illuminating Powder on cheeks with a NARS kabuki brush ensured a subtle luminescence for Lucy on the red carpet. “
Finally, “We wanted to finish the look with a statement lip to compliment the shade of Lucy’s dress. A blotted coat of mark. Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Cha Cha was topped with a dab of mark. Glow Baby Glow Hook Up Lip Gloss in Blow Kisses.“
Lucy Hale’s Country Career
Of course, fans know that Lucy is no stranger to the country music scene (she was born in Memphis, after all!). In December 2013, Lucy performed “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” on the CMA Country Christmas Show and absolutely wowed the crowed with her vocals. Then, in June of 2014, Lucy released her debut county album Road Between, to rave reviews. Road Between has since gone all the way to No. 4 on Billboard’s Top Country Album chart!
