The normally energetic country band took the stage for a nice and slow performance of their song ‘Dirt,’ and we loved it!
Florida Georgia Line did not disappoint as they sang their lead single “Dirt,” from their second studio album, Anything Goes, and the crowd went wild.
Florida Georgia Line Perform Their Hit Song ‘Dirt’ At 2014 CMA Awards
Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley aren’t just two pretty faces (although, they totally are that, too). The BFFs make up Florida Georgia Line, and they never seem to disappoint! They performed at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for the CMAs — did you love it as much as we did? The song which was released in July of 2014, is all about living in the country.
Here are some of the lyrics from their killer song:
“Its that elm shade/Red roads clay you grew up on/That plowed up ground/That your dad/Damned his luck on/That post game party field/You circled up on/And when it rains/You get stuck on/Drift a cloud back/Behind county roads/That you run up/The mud on her jeans/That she peeled off/And hung up/Her blue eyed/Summer time smile
/Looks so good that it hurts/Makes you wanna build/A 10 percent downWhite picket fence house on this dirt.”
Florida Georgia Line Speak Out About CMA Awards
Tyler, 27, and Brian, 29, are definitely humbled by the award show recognition they’ve got through the years.
“It feels good,” Tyler told CMT.com before the big night. “A lot of hard work went into this year for us, a lot of long weeks and months out on the road. So it feels good to come home, be in Nashville and get to come to the awards show and see all our friends and hopefully take home an award.”
Last year’s CMA was huge for FGL, as they brought their moms to the big night and it was their first time being nominated! They took home both Single of the Year and Vocal Duo of the Year.
