Apollo Nida was sentenced to eight years in prison, and ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ cameras were there to capture the entire disaster, including his fallout from wife, Phaedra Parks. In this EXCLUSIVE sneak peek of the Season 7 premiere, Apollo slams his wife for leaving him. Click to WATCH.
The Georgia peaches are back! The Real Housewives of Atlanta returns to Bravo on Nov. 9, and the drama is crazier than ever, especially in the world of Phaedra Parks and jailbird Apollo Nida. Phaedra has since hired a divorce attorney to leave her husband, but before she took that step, the couple parted ways on the morning of Apollo’s sentencing.
‘RHOA’: Phaedra Parks Takes Her Kids Away On The Morning Of Apollo Nida’s Jail Sentencing
“It’s the morning of Apollo’s sentencing, and I’ve decided not to be at our house because of the paparazzi and people trying to snap pictures of my children,” Phaedra says in this EXCLUSIVE clip of the RHOA Season 7 premiere, debuted by HollywoodLife.com.
Now that the Housewives are premiering, viewers will finally get to see what really went down in the demise of Phaedra and Apollo’s relationship.
“I’m not a murderer. I’m not a child molester. I wasn’t the guy on the corner selling cocaine,” Apollo says to the cameras, just hours before his sentencing. “I understand what I’ve done is illegal. It’s wrong. But it’s fixable. The charges the I plead to were wire fraud, bank fraud and mail fraud. I got caught because a co-conspirator got into a bind and decided to bring me in.”
Apollo Nida Slams Phaedra For Leaving Him
Phaedra leaves for a hotel with her two boys, which she says is an effort to protect her children because her main priority is to be a parent. “As a mother, the biggest concern for me is to protect my children during this whole tumultuous time.”
Apollo doesn’t see it that way.
“My wife and children, they left,” he says. “And then woman that I thought was supposed to be there for me and cherish me, she’s nowhere to be found.”
Phaedra, on the other hand, feels completely betrayed. (Probably why she’s divorcing him.)
“Apollo’s actions constitute the ultimate betrayal because I trusted him and I thought he was a changed man,” she says.
