Could Rambo Carol be planning another comeback? While some fans are concerned about her fate on ‘The Walking Dead,’ here’s why I think she’s Beth’s best shot at escaping Grady Memorial Hospital.
On the Nov. 2 episode of The Walking Dead, we were left with the second MAJOR cliffhanger in a row as Beth (Emily Kinney) watched a familiar face get wheeled into Grady Memorial Hospital on a gurney. Here’s my theory on why that person is not in need of medical attention so much as they are faking an injury just to save Beth from psycho Officer Dawn and creepy Doctor Edwards.
‘The Walking Dead’s Carol: Saving Beth From Being A Hospital Prisoner?
Can you believe The Walking Dead left us with yet ANOTHER cliffhanger episode?
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD.
In case you don’t remember, at the very end of episode 3, Daryl (Norman Reedus) returns to the church with someone in tow. But when he calls for that person to come out of the woods and reveal themselves, all we saw was the screen fade to black.
Now, episode 4 ended with Beth watching a seemingly unconscious Carol (Melissa McBride) get wheeled into the hospital by police officers. But that’s all you see before credits roll, and you’re left to wonder: is Carol really hurt? How will Beth get out now that she has to worry about Carol? So. Many. Questions.
However, what if this is all part of Carol’s master plan to save Beth? We know that Carol and Daryl were working together to save Beth, so here’s my theory on what is REALLY about to go down:
Carol and Daryl were more than likely outside of the hospital when Beth and Noah (Tyler James Williams) tried to escape, which means they watched the police officers tackle Beth to the ground and drag her back inside. Carol and Daryl grabbed Noah as soon as they could to find out what the hell is going on inside of the hospital, and that’s when Carol volunteered herself to be picked up by one of the mysterious police cars.
Now that Carol is inside, Daryl and Noah went back to the church for reinforcements (aka Rick Grimes), while Beth and Carol plot their escape together.
If I’m right, hopefully we can expect to see Daryl and Rick (Andrew Lincoln) bring psycho Officer Dawn down, which means there is more exciting action to come.
Another Theory: Carol Really Did Get Hurt & Needs Serious Help
If you watched episode 4, then you know that right before Carol was wheeled into the hospital Beth was preparing to kill Dr. Edwards.
Not only did she stop because she recognized Carol, but she stopped because she needs to make sure that Dr. Edwards can help Carol. Beth is not an idiot, and she knows that even if Carol is seriously injured, if Dr. Edwards can get her back on her feet then she has a partner in crime to plot a second escape.
But will Beth and Carol be smart enough to pretend that they don’t know each other? Hopefully we find out what the next step is for these two sooner rather than later, especially since season 5 of The Walking Dead seems to be full of time warps.
Tell me, HollywoodLifers — Do YOU think Carol is faking her injuries just to save Beth? Do you think Rick will join Daryl in Atlanta to save them both? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
