Taylor Swift: Real Reason She Didn’t Announce NYC Tour Dates

Mon, November 3, 2014 6:35pm EDT by Chris Rogers 3 Comments

Taylor shockingly left her hometown, New York City, out of her ‘1989 World Tour,’ but a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that there’s a really good reason why the ‘Shake It Off’ singer didn’t announce any dates in the Big Apple.

Taylor Swift, 24, has said — many, many times — that New York City is her favorite city in the world (she even lives there!), so we were taken aback when we realized Taylor’s new tour has no stops in the Big Apple. Well, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that there’s a good reason for the omission and T-Swizzle may have another announcement, regarding The 1989 World Tour, planned for New Year’s Eve.

Taylor Swift Touring In New York City? — Why She Didn’t Announce Any Dates

“Taylor will definitely add more dates. She wants to start with a limited amount of dates in order to sell out faster. It makes her look better when things sell out fast. NYC dates are a guarantee and will be revealed at a later date,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

It’s possible she may reveal the extra dates on New Year’s Eve. Taylor is actually set to headline Ryan Seacrest’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

“It’s a possible that she’ll announce the extra tour dates with Ryan Seacrest. She wants to make a splash on NYE and have everyone spend their Christmas money on her tour, when she announces more dates. It’s all calculated,” our source adds.
