‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ gathered for the Season 6 reunion — the first time all of the ladies sat down together, since Teresa Giudice’s jail sentencing.
Teresa Giudice filmed the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion just days after she left the courthouse, resulting in 15-month jail sentence for 41 counts of fraud. With emotions still raw, it didn’t take long for Teresa to walk off set when she was offended by Kathy Wakile and Rosie Pierri.
‘RHONJ’: Teresa Giudice’s Emotional Post-Jail Sentencing Reunion
Teresa showed up two hours late to the reunion taping, but during the show, she was calm and stone-faced. It was obvious that her mind was occupied by her recent events (understandably).
Andy asks Teresa if her jail news has set in since some time has passed, and Teresa can barely answer. She is clearly in a state of shock.
She points out that the day before the reunion taping was her daughter’s birthday and she’s just focused on family. “My kids don’t know anything. It’s how it’s always been.”
Dina comes to her defense, as she does through the entire episode, and says that Teresa is a good mom and kept her focus on Gabriella‘s birthday, even with everything going on. Teresa points out that Milania‘s birthday is in February, and she won’t be home for that.
“There are murderers walking around the street. Teresa is such a good girl,” Dina says.
‘RHONJ’ Reunion: Teresa Giudice Storms Off Set
Teresa was eerily calm throughout the show, until a scene played back of Kathy and Rosie talking with their family about the Giudice’s jail sentencing. Their mom says, “I don’t know what to say, but when you don’t do the right thing, it will always catch up with you.”
When Andy prompts Kathy, Rosie and Teresa to talk about that conversation, Teresa stands up and tells the room, “I need a break. You guys can have the conversation without me.”
She walks off set and straight into the bathroom, telling producers that her heart started racing and she doesn’t want to be out there for that conversation. “To me, family doesn’t act like that.”
Teresa Giudice Fights With Kathy Wakile & Rosie Pierri
Kathy insists that her mother was not trying to single-handedly diss Teresa. She just meant that in general, when people make mistakes, it catches up with them. Mmhmmm.
“People that love each other, hurt each other,” Kathy says.
When Teresa walks back on set, she ensures that they’re done talking about that issue or else she threatens to walk out again. “I’m going through a lot and needed a break,” she tells Andy, who asks her if Kathy and Rosie’s conversation hurt her. Teresa’s response? “Next question.”
The only thing she’ll comment on that matter is that she told her family not to talk about her legal issues.
When Andy brings up the obvious — she’s on a reality show so she should perhaps talk about her reality — Teresa says, “I don’t care about the show.”
Dina Manzo & Teresa Giudice Lash Out Against Jacqueline Laurita
Jacqueline tried to reach out to Teresa throughout the season, but Teresa confirms that they’re not friends, and she doesn’t even miss her. Not even during her troubles.
Dina agrees with Teresa, when it comes to Jacqueline, and has no interest seeing her either.
“I kept my mouth shut for four years,” Dina says. “Jacqueline opened the door by coming back on the show.”
Joe Giudice & Joe Gorga Join The Housewives — Men Break Down In Tears
“How are you processing all of this?” Andy asks Joe Giudice who is completely frozen of emotion. He replies, “You could stick a knife in me right now and I probably wouldn’t even feel it.”
Joe Gorga breaks down in tears, when he speaks about Joe and Teresa’s bleak future. “It’s been pretty much hell,” he says says. “It’s my sister, it’s my brother — it’s not my brother-in-law. It’s my brother…It’s breaking my heart.”
The camera cuts, just as Teresa starts tearing up to her brother’s reaction. Until next week…
HollywoodLifers, do you think that Teresa is obligated to talk about her legal issues, since she’s on a reality show or do you think she has the right to keep her personal life to herself? Let us know.
