Dianna looked glamorous with a tousled yet elegant up-do and heavy, smokey eyes at the UNICEF Masquerade Ball. Her stylists are sharing how to get the exact look below!
Dianna Agron showed up at the 2nd Annual UNICEF Masquerade Ball in Los Angeles on October 30 with vintage-classic Hollywood glam. Her hairstylist, Sunnie Brook, and her makeup artist, Georgie Eisdell, share exactly how to get the look they created on Dianna right here.
Dianna Agron At UNICEF Ball — Modern French Twist
Sunnie says Dianna’s hairstyle was inspired by model Elle Von Unwerth. She explains how she created Dianna’s hair step-by-step:
“We wanted to create a look that was playful but classic, with a soft airy texture. I also wanted to counter balance the strong lines of her dress and the fullness of the skirt. We decided to go with this modern french twist.I began by spraying her damp hair with R+Co One Prep Spray.
Next I applied Oribe Grandiose Mousse to the roots. Taking one inch sections, I blow dried hair away from the face using a Harry Josh Dryer on the ION setting and a small Paul Mitchell Express Brush to lift and set the roots. I clipped sections in place to cool.
I sprayed hair with Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray and pulled the sections behind the ears into a french twist. I secured it with bobby pins and sprayed with Oribe Superfine Hairspray.
Next I unclipped the remaining sections and used my finger to rake through hair. I backcombed sections as needed for volume and detailed pieces around the face. I finished with one last spray of Oribe Superfine Hairspray.”
Dianna Agron’s Smokey Eye — Dark, Smoldering Look
Makeup artist Georgie Eisdell wanted to give Dianna’s eyes “drama,” “a little Halloween magic and a cool, sexy vibe.” Georgie explains how to get the look:
“I prepped her skin with La Prairie Platinum Rare Cream and IS Clinical Eye Youth Complex.
I evened out her skin with Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick. To set the base and give the perfect finish, I powdered with La Mer The Powder. I used Chanel Poudre Illuminating Powder on the cheek bones to give her a glow.
On the apples of her cheeks, I used Laura Mercier Cheek Color in Spiced Cider. For an all over bronze I used Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Medium.
The focus was all on her eyes, so I started by using MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow in Cinderfella on the lid up to the crease of the eye, dampening my brush so the color became very intense. I then went over the top of this with MAC Illusion d’ombre in Mirifique to add more sparkle to the eye. I lined the eye and inner rim win Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Black and then for a little drama I popped a little of Chanel Illusion d’ombre in Fantasme on the bottom inner corner of the eye to really open up the eyes and make them shine.
I applied two layers of Kevyn Aucoin The Essential Mascara in Black and individual Stilazzi Lashes for added length and depth. I finished off her eyes by defining her brows with Kevyn Aucoin Brow Definer in Warm Blonde.
On her lips I used Laura Mercier Lip Pot in Shy Pink, one of my favorite nudes.
Finally, I dusted Laura Mercier Mineral Illuminating Loose Powder in Candlelight on her décolleté for warmth and glow.”
What do you think of Dianna’s old Hollywood glam, HollywoodLifers? It’s definitely a different style, but we think it looks beautiful.
