Paul Reubens: Pee-Wee Herman Movie Backed By Judd Apatow In The Works — Watch

Paul got pretty candid with Jimmy Fallon on the Oct. 29 episode of The Tonight Show, but one of his more surprising reveals was that this new film will be backed by producer Judd Apatow!

Judd is behind a ton of hilarious comedies, like Bridesmaids and This Is 40, and he’s also the executive producer of Girls! So, we have high hopes for this new flick.

Paul remained pretty tight-lipped about other details, but he did let out a couple of other pretty interesting facts! He revealed the origins of the character, saying that he came up with the persona when his improv group tried to play out a scene at a comedy club.

“My character was a bad comic who you would never ever expect to make it,” he explained. Well, that makes sense!
