Ali isn’t someone who is ever afraid to ‘go there’, in life or in her work. She faces challenges (I would venture to say she even looks for them) with a smile on her face like “bring it”! It’s an inspiration and a joy to be around that energy. I feel deeply grateful to have worked with Ali so closely in her last days at Days. We still keep in touch when we can but she is terribly missed by us all at Days. She’s one of a kind …or maybe she really is Superwoman.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Alison told us EXCLUSIVELY why she decided to leave the show. “The head of it was wanting to be more available for my family and have more time to spend with them and be more flexible with my hours,” Alison revealed.
Alison is heading over to direct General Hospital, but she dished that she will certainly miss Days. “Well, gosh, I’m going to miss these people! I’ve been friends with these people for a long time and they’re like family to me and so that part is really hard for me,” Alison said. “I grew up with them!”
We can certainly understand how she would miss the show since she has been on it since 1993! However, Alison revealed that she would like to come back to the show at some point.
She said, “I talked to Ken [Corday, executive producer] about it, and was like for the 50th, if he has a big plan, I would love to be invited back,” Alison exclusively revealed. “I’ll be honest, anything is possible in soaps right? You can come back no matter what. I would come back for weddings and funerals or whatever. It was my way of trying to help minimize the chance of them killing me off!”
