‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1’ Final Trailer: Peeta Tries To Save Katniss

Oh. My. Peeta.

The final trailer for Mockingjay is here, and it’s the best one yet. They really did save the best for last!

SPOILERS AHEAD!

The opening scenes in the final trailer are those we have seen before. Plutarch (Philip Seymour Hoffman) and Alma (Julianne Moore) are discussing whether or not Katniss is capable of being the Mockingjay and saving Panem. Of course, Plutarch is still rooting for her while Alma thinks that Katniss is broken from being in the games.

All-new footage reveals that the first of the two final films goes deep into the battlefield. Not only do we see a new message from Peeta as he desperately tries to save Katniss’ life while being held hostage in The Capitol, but we also see Katniss and Gale (Liam Hemsworth) preparing to fight The Peacekeepers.

New footage in the final trailer also shows President Snow (Donald Sutherland) telling Katniss that she is on his hit list. After that, we see glimpses of Katniss and Gale fighting for their freedom.

MAJOR SPOILER BELOW!

If you have not read the books, please stop reading. Seriously. This is your FINAL WARNING!

In another scene, Gale grabs Katniss and holds her back as they stand in what looks to be a devastated Capitol. If you read the books, you know that this could potentially be the moment that Katniss realizes her sister, Prim (Willow Shields), has been killed.
