It’s been a huge year for Taylor Swift — so it makes sense that she’s ending it by performing for millions! The 24-year-old superstar will headline ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ on Dec. 31 live from Times Square!
What a week it’s been for Taylor Swift. Just hours after the release of her fifth studio album, 1989, Ryan Seacrest broke the news that the “Shake It Off” singer would be joining him for the largest party of the year — Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. She will join many other A-listers during the five-and-a-half hour show with over 38 performances.

Taylor, who performed during the 2013 show, definitely has a ton to promote — her new album is already causing a huge buzz, and it just dropped on Oct. 27!
Her first single from the album, “Shake It Off,” came out in August and already has over two million downloads and hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Then she released “Out of the Woods,” which also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart!
She’s doing a slew of TV interviews and performances this year including Good Morning America, Late Show with David Letterman, and The View. She’s also the key advisor on this season of The Voice and will be awarded with the Billboard’s Woman of the Year honor for the second time.
It’s no surprise that Ryan Seacrest wants her to join him for the huge show, which begins at 8pm ET on Dec. 31.
“Each year New Year’s Rockin’ Eve continues its iconic legacy by delivering incredible performances from the year’s hottest artists, and this year is no exception,” host and executive producer Ryan Seacrest said in a statement. “We already have secured an unprecedented number of music acts, culminating with a Times Square performance by Taylor, the biggest superstar in music today.”
