Gia Soriano Dead: Second Marysville Shooting Victim Killed By Jaylen Fryberg
Another student who was shot by Jaylen Fryberg, 15, has died.
Gia, just 14-years-old, died on Oct. 26, hospital officials said, according to NBC News. She had been fighting for her life at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, Washington. She died around 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 26.
“We are devastated by this senseless tragedy,” Dr. Joanne Roberts, Chief Medical Officer at the hospital, said in a statement on behalf of Soriano’s family. “Gia is our beautiful daughter and words cannot express how much we will miss her.”
The family has decided to donate Gia’s organs to help others in need.
In an eerie turn of events, Gia and Jaylen are listed as Facebook friends.
By the looks of her social media accounts, Gia was a sweet girl who loved taking cute and silly selfies.
Her taste in music was mostly rap and hip-hop, including Drake, Mac Miller, Lil Wayne, and Usher. Gia’s Facebook also lists that she worked at a Zumiez store, which sells trendy clothing, shoes, and accessories.
Our thoughts go out to Gia’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
