So sad. On Oct. 24, Zoe Galasso, 14, was tragically shot and killed by Jaylen Fryberg, 15, inside Marysville-Pilchuck High School. She was allegedly the girl at the center of the feud between Jaylen and his cousin, Andrew Fryberg.
The student who was confirmed dead following the Marysville-Pilchuck High School shooting has been identified. Zoe Galasso, 14, sadly succumbed to injuries she sustained when Jaylen Fryberg, 15, opened fired in the school cafeteria and shot five of his friends, including Zoe. The 14-year-old was allegedly involved in a love triangle between Jaylen and cousin Andrew Fryberg, 15, that left Jaylen angry. Sad details below.
Zoe Galasso Dead: Marysville Shooter Victim Identified
This is just so sad. Zoe was confirmed dead by relatives, the Seattle Times reports.
Zoe was friends with Jaylen and was dating his cousin Andrew. Andrew and Zoe recently attended homecoming together.
The reason why Jaylen decided to turn a gun on his friends has not been revealed. However, a friend of Zoe’s claims that he opened fire because of fight with Andrew.
“I heard he asked her out and she rebuffed him and was with his cousin,” Bella Panjeli told Reuters. “It was a fight over a girl,” Bella also said.
Jaylen’s tweets before the shooting indicated something wasn’t right. He recently tweeted, “Dude. She tells me everything. And now. I f**king HATE you! Your no longer my “Brother”!”
One of Zoe’s friends, Lukas Thorington, 14, spoke out about the exuberant 14-year-old.
“Zoe was very outgoing,” he told the Seattle Times. “She was into sports. She was nice and awesome. She was fun to hang out with.”
A friend of Zoe’s family established a memorial fund on Go Fund Me. In just one day, the fund has raised over $15,000.
Jaylen Fryberg: Did Tweets Predict His Future Violent Outburst?
According to an eyewitness, Jaylen seemed just “fine” the day before his violent outburst; however, his Twitter had been telling a different story. He appeared to be cataloguing the breakup that may have sent the unstable teen over the edge, threatening to kill himself more than a couple of times.
Jaylen also tweeted back in August: “Your gonna piss me off… And then some sh*ts gonna go down and I don’t think you’ll like it…,” and “Your not gonna like what happens next‼️”
Just one day before the shooting, Jaylen ominously tweeted: “It won’t last…. It’ll never last….”
