Potter pandemonium continues! Come Halloween, J.K. Rowling will publish a brand new story on the spooky holiday.
J.K. Rowling, 49, revealed exciting news on her Pottermore website on Oct. 24: she is coming out with a brand new book! Regardless of which Hogwarts house you’re partial to, all Harry Potter fans will relish this new read.
Harry Potter: J.K Rowling Will Publish New Story On Halloween
The plot of the new book will be quite different from the previous Potter stories.
On her website, J.K. Rowling explained that Harry Potter will take a back seat from the spotlight! Instead, Harry’s nemesis, Dolores Umbridge, who was first introduced to readers in the fifth book (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) will be the central figure.
We might have separation anxiety from our favorite Quidditch cutie, but after reading J.K. Rowling’s statement on Pottermore, we’re excited for what she has in store.
“Umbridge is not only one of the most malicious Potter characters, she is the only person other than Lord Voldemort to leave a permanent physical scar on Harry,” the statement read. “The new exclusive J.K. Rowling content provides a rich, 1,700-word back story about Umbridge’s life filled with many new details, as well as Rowling’s revealing first-person thoughts and reflections about the character.”
‘Harry Potter’ Spinoffs Confirmed By Warner Brothers
J.K. Rowling’s exciting news about the story’s Halloween release date is all the more reason to breakout our Hogwarts costumes, as we go trick-or-treating, but Harry Potter fanatics also have something else to look forward to — Warner Brother announced on Oct. 15. that they will release three new movies based off, “Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them!”
The first of the three movies is set to make its debut in 2016.
