Teresa Giudice Serving Jail Time At ‘Orange Is The New Black’ Prison
No, your eyes are not deceiving you. Teresa’s connection to Orange Is The New Black just got a whole lot bigger. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star will be heading to Danbury on Jan. 5 to serve out her 15-month jail sentence, TMZ reports.
The Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury was the same place that Piper Kerman, writer of Orange Is The New Black: My Year In Prison, served her sentence for money laundering.
Teresa and husband Joe Giudice, 42, pleaded guilty to 41 counts of bank, mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud.
Maybe Teresa could guest star on the series once her sentence is up? (We could see it happening.)
Before she was sentenced to serve her time at the Danbury prison, Teresa allegedly wrote a letter to the judge begging her to reconsider, according to TMZ.
Instead of prison, Teresa reportedly wanted to spend her 15 months in a halfway house.
The judge wasn’t going to go for that.
HollywoodLifers, can you believe Teresa will be serving her jail time in the Orange is the New Black prison? Let us know!
