A slew of Matthew McConaughey’s former leading ladies stepped out in one stunning gown after another to help honor the actor at the 28th American Cinematheque Awards — but who do you think donned the best dress of the night?
There’s no denying the fact that Matthew McConaughey is on top of his game. Fresh off sweeping awards season and slated to star in a slew of anticipated new films, it comes as no surprise to see him honored at the 28th American Cinematheque Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Oct. 21 in Beverly Hills, where so many of his former co-stars came out to support the actor — and they dressed their best for the occasion! From Kate Hudson to Reese Witherspoon, see how the celeb set got glam and VOTE for who YOU think deserves the best dressed title.
American Cinematheque Awards — Kate Hudson Wows With Pink Hair:
Kate debuted her new pink ‘do as she sparkled in a sexy chic strapless Jenny Packham gown — I love the way the metallic hue of the dress complimented her new hair color! Not only was the dress simply gorgeous but it looked amazing on her frame.
Reese Witherspoon’s Cleavage & Dress At American Cinematheque Awards:
Reese also oozed sexy glamour as she rocked the red carpet, putting her ample cleavage on display, in a botanical print Prabal Gurung gown from the Resort 2015 collection. The satin dress featured a sweetheart neckline that allowed her to flaunt her curves as the mermaid silhouette clung to her figure. Old Hollywood glamour completed the stunning look as Reese rocked sultry, retro waves and a glossy red lip. Not many can pull off a floral gown, but Reese totally owned the dress — and her confidence commanded attention on the red carpet. The star seems to have gone through a sexy style transformation, and we cannot get enough of it!
Jessica Chastain opted for one of her favorite colors, yellow, on the red carpet when she stepped out in a custom-made Givenchy Couture creation that draped beautifully around her frame. The halter dress features an embellished, bejewelled neckline which really glams up the ensemble as a gold belt cinches in her waist. Givenchy shark-lock sandals, slicked back hair and blue Suzanne Kalan studs added an extra, pretty pop of color to her outfit.
While Kate, Reese and Jessica totally rocked the red carpet, unfortunately Anne Hathaway didn’t get the glam memo. The star stepped out in a fall-appropriate frock, however, when compared to the vibrant, sparkling, sexy gowns on the red carpet, it couldn’t compete — although I must commend Anne for opting for an edgier look. While many may not appreciate the Christopher Kane long-sleeved rope-lace dress on the star, I like the way she switched up her style. She paired the dress, from the Spring 2015 collection, with a red lip that added a welcome pop of color to the ensemble, which she finished off with Christian Louboutin pumps and emerald Neil Lane earrings.
What do you think? Who was best dressed?
