While it isn’t bringing Melissa any comfort after the death of her mother, the 46-year-old has allegedly inherited most of Joan Rivers’ multi-million dollar estate, according to a new report. And Melissa’s 13-year-old son, Cooper, has received his own inheritance.
Melissa Rivers, 46, is allegedy set to inherit most of her late mother’s estate, including $75 million in cash and Joan Rivers‘ $35 million New York City apartment. That’s a lot of money, but according to a new report, Melissa’s inheritance hasn’t brought her much comfort.

“It’s no consolation for losing her mother so soon,” a source told Us Weekly.
Melissa’s 13-year-old son, Cooper, has allegedly received his own bequest. What he inherited, though, has not been revealed.
Joan Rivers: Cause Of Death Revealed
This news comes just days after it was confirmed that the Fashion Police host’s cause of death on Sept. 4 was from surgery complications.
After the New York City Medical Examiner’s Officer revealed this news, Melissa opened up with a tweet.
“We continue to be saddened by our tragic loss,” she said on Oct. 16. “No further comment at this time.”
We can’t imagine what Melissa is going through, and we don’t think any amount of money will bring Joan’s daughter the comfort she’s looking for. But it’s nice to know that Joan was always looking out for her daughter and grandson. It’s clear that she loved them with all of her heart.
Our thoughts continue to go out to Melissa and Cooper at this difficult time in their lives.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you surprised that Joan left Melissa so much money? Tell us how you feel!
