The Battle Rounds Come To A Close
The night began with Pharrell’s last battle pairing of the season, Brittany Butler and Ricky Manning! They sang On Broadway — both the audience and the judges were loving it! The judges were leaning towards Ricky being the winner, but in the end, it was Pharrell’s decision. He ended up keeping Ricky on his team!
Blake’s first pairing of the night was Kensington Moore and Reagan James. They battled it out on stage singing Team by Lorde. The two contestants sounded uniquely amazing — it’s too bad Blake couldn’t keep them both! Blake said he had to go with his gut and went with Reagan!
Blake also paired Fernanda Bosh and Allison Bray together and he sent Fernanda home! Gwen paired Anita Antionette and Mia Alverez — after singing for their lives, Gwen choose Anita to stay!
Gwen also choose to join Bryana Salaz and Giana Salvata in a battle but Bryana walked away as the winner!
Gwen Steals Beth Spangler
Adams final match up was Beth Spangler and Mia Pfirrman . Both contestants got all 4 judges to turn during the blind auditions and now they found themselves having to fight for one spot! They sang a Christina Aguilera classic, I Turn To You. The winner was Mia but both contestants got to walk away winners since Gwen used her last steal on Beth!
Get excited for next week, HollywoodLifers! Taylor Swift will be mentoring the remaining contestants!
