Reese Witherspoon’s Makeup At ‘Wild’ — Gorgeous At London Film Festival
Makeup Artist Molly R. Stern used Clinique products for Reese’s look. She described the inspiration to HollywoodLife.com:
“For Reese’s screening of Wild at the London Film Festival I wanted to create a look that had an edgy seductive allure. Wearing a gorgeous gown by Stella McCartney with animal print accents, I felt the dress gave me a perfect excuse to go for a little added beauty intensity. Overall her look was sultry and sophisticated with a bite.
Getting Reese ready for an event is always great fun. She is they type of starlet that personifies glamour without being intimidating. Reese is a beautiful woman with a genuine spirit who can always take your breath away.”

Here is the step by step from Molly:
“I first prepared her skin by refreshing her with a grape water misting spray. Next I applied Natura Bisse Oxygen Cream as a hydrating base for the look.”
“For Reese’s eyes, I wanted them sexy with pop. Borrowing inspiration from the 1930’s, I based her lid with dark matte charcoal gray shadow and then brightened it up by layering a bronzy cream shadow. This allowed the eye to stay dark and moody without weighing down the lid.”
Use All About Shadow in Stroke of Midnight to create the base, all over the lid.
Layer Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes in Fuller Fudge to brighten up the look, allowing the eye to stay dark and moody without weighing down the lid.
Line the top and bottom lids with Quickliner for Eyes Intense in Intense Midnight for dimension.
“Finish off eyes with two coats of volumizing mascara like MAC False Lashes in a saturated black hue on the top and bottom lashes, focusing on the eyes’ outer edges.”
“I wanted Reese’s lips to be dark and dramatic without looking theatrical.”
For staying power, line lips with Quickliner for Lips in Chili.
Apply Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Roomiest Rose for a bright pop of color that doesn’t feel heavy.
“For her cheek I wanted to add depth and contour while still keeping the look fresh.”
Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm in Robust Rhubarb warms up the face.
“Reese has gorgeous skin, so I chose a sheer application foundation to enhance her glow without eliminating the beauty of her natural complexion.”
Apply Even Better Makeup SPF 15 — it “enhances skin’s natural glow, without masking the natural complexion.”
