Joe will allegedly serve even more time behind bars for drivers license fraud, according to a new report. The reality star could now spend even more than 41 months in jail, making reality even bleaker for the Giudices.
Joe Giudice, 42, and Teresa Giudice, 42, were just beginning to wrap their heads around a daunting future with their respective jail sentences. Now, there’s more trouble for Joe, due to a new plea deal that puts an 18-month jail sentence on Joe’s case, for an incident in which Joe allegedly used his brother’s marriage and birth certificates to obtain a driver’s license, while his own was suspended for drunk driving back in 2010.
Joe Giudice: More Jail Time To Be Served By Teresa Giudice’s Husband
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star could reportedly serve up to ten more years in jail for license fraud, after allegedly obtaining a driver’s license, using his brother’s identification. This means another decade away from watching his daughters (Gia, 13, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 5) grow up.
Joe is due in court on Oct. 15 for a hearing about this latest case of fraud. This hearing will likely add more pressure on Joe and Teresa, who were previously sentenced to jail by Judge Salas for bankruptcy, mail and wire fraud.
Update, Oct. 15: Joe accepted a plea deal, pleading guilty to possession of a fraudulent driver’s license, after initially rejecting the deal because he did not want to admit guilt. After the Paterson, New Jersey judge asked him to think it through, he changed his mind. Under the plea deal, Joe accepts an 18-month jail sentence, which will run concurrently with his 41-month federal prison sentence.
Teresa Giudice Pays Part Of Restitution
Meanwhile, Teresa, has already mustered up $200,000 to pay off half of the $414,588 she owes in restitution to Judge Salas, according to Radar Online.
Wow, Teresa came up with that cash quickly! After her Oct. 2 sentencing, Teresa and Joe appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, 46, for a special episode on Oct. 6th. Perhaps the couple’s two-hour interview earned them a pretty penny…or two?
Teresa will face her 15-month jail sentence before her husband heads to prison. However, during this time, she hopes to see the silver lining in a dark cloud that is hovering over her family.
“The bond between my children and their father, Joe, my honey, will grow stronger and stronger. And that is something I will be grateful for,” she said in an interview with Us Weekly.
