Emma Stone had a good laugh after her ‘Zombieland’ co-star Bill Murray suggest she join the all-female reboot cast of ‘Ghostbusters.’ We hope she considers taking the funny role seriously! Do YOU?
There’s no doubt that Emma Stone, 25, would make a great leading lady for the upcoming all-female Ghostbusters III. She’s hilarious, gorgeous, and, well, we would just love to see her bust some ghosts! When confronted about the potential role that Bill Murray, 63, recommended she be suggested for, Emma laughed off the idea. See what else she had to say!
Emma Stone In ‘Ghostbusters 3’? — Star Laughs Off Bill Murray’s Recommendation
Bill wants Emma to star in Ghostbusters III, and so do we! When confronted about the possible role, she took Bill’s compliment as a sincere form of flattery.
“That’s pretty nice,” Emma told MTV at the premiere for her new film Birdman. “Do you remember that scene in Zombieland where we’re the Ghostbusters, and I got to say Slimer was on the ceiling? But that wasn’t being a Ghostbuster. That was being Annie Potts.”
Well, Emma, maybe instead of Annie Potts, you should become a Ghostbuster! Emma definitely has the comedic capabilities to pull off the role — plus, we’d love to see her work alongside Bill’s other suggested contenders! Of course, it makes sense for her to be a little cautious — it’s not like she’s been cast yet!
Bill Murray’s Dream ‘Ghostbusters III’ Cast
“Melissa would be a spectacular Ghostbuster. And Kristen Wiig is so funny — God, she’s funny! I like this girl Linda Cardellini (“Mad Men”) a lot. And Emma Stone is funny. There are some funny girls out there.”
We completely agree with Bill! There are so many good options for leading ladies, and it would be a dream come true to see all the women mentioned come together for this hilarious film.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Who would you like to see star in Ghostbusters III?
