Christina Aguilera Returning To ‘The Voice’ Season 8
The original blonde is back! Christina Aguilera is reprising her red chair role, replacing Gwen Stefani, after just one season.
Season 8 will see Christina on the coaches’ panel with Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, who have been on the reality competition, since the beginning, and Pharrell, host Carson Daly announced on the Today show on Tuesday, Oct. 14.

Christina was originally on The Voice from its freshman season through the third, and then returned again for round five, being replaced by Shakira in the interim, followed by Gwen for Season 7.
Ever since, she’s been busy being a mommy! Christina gave birth to her second child, daughter Summer Rain, with her fiancé Matt Rutler, on Aug. 16. She also has a son, Max, 6, with her ex-husband Jordan Bratman.
What About Gwen Stefani?
Gwen Stefani will not be back next season, and probably because she’ll be spending time on her music — not to mention, her three kids with husband and Voice mentor, Gavin Rossdale!
Gwen is currently wrapping up her first solo album in eight years, which will feature tracks by none other than Pharrell. Gwen is set to perform her first single off the album on The Voice this season.
HollywoodLifers, are you excited that Christina is returning as a coach or will you miss Gwen? Let us know!
