The sweet couple has been together since September, 2013 according to the site, when they met on the set of the musical, The Three Musketeers.
The site reports that Lee’s announcement said:
Hello, this is Sungmin.
What words can I start with… I’ve thought many times about what should be the first sentence.
As I wrote and erased multiple times, the faces of people that I’m thankful for came to mind..
I also thought about their voices…
With a heavy and sincere heart, I deliver this letter.
Everyone, I met a good person and on December 13, we will get married.
My heart aches as I think of everybody who must have been shocked and surprised by the sudden news..
While I was contemplating how to deliver the news to E.L.F [Super Junior’s fanclub,] who love me and are my dear friend, the news was first delivered through articles. I’m sorry for that.
Honestly, before I delivered the news, there were times when I’ve felt conflicted about my own decision and thought about everybody who I have been with until now. I have been internally struggled for a long time. Rather than it being a fear of the decision, I was worried about whether the people I’m thankful towards will be too shocked or hurt by this news, which they’ve never gone through before.
I’m a bit late, but from the love and trust you’ve given me I have gathered courage to give you the news myself.
Now I want to say how much I love and feel thankful towards those who have stood by my side like a shadow, have watched me grow from nothing, and have cheered me on.
I want to sincerely thank the people who have helped me until now, as well as my members and company for believing and respecting my decsisions. I will work hard to become a Sungmin that will return all of your love as I continue in the future.
HollywoodLifers, leave your well-wishes and congratulations for the happy couple in the comment section!
