Oh baby, baby. Britney Spears is planning her next album, and HollywoodLife.com has learned that the pop princess wants to record with Iggy Azalea!
New music from Britney Spears, 32, is finally coming your way! Not only is Brit Brit ready to head into the recording studio, but she’s determined to make her upcoming album her best ever, starting with a huge hit from Iggy Azalea, 24.
Britney Spears Planning Her Next Album — Wants Iggy Azalea
Britney Spears has conquered the pop world, but that doesn’t mean she’s too good to let other musicians onto her tracks. In fact, she wants the new wave of superstars on her next album — especially Iggy Azalea!
“Britney is working on new music and wants to work on a song with Iggy Azalea,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Britney wants to do stuff with many current artists and make her next album a huge event.”
Other than Iggy, you can expect more A-list collaborations on Brit’s upcoming ninth album. Our source adds, “She plans on making it star-studded, but Iggy is on top of the list.”
Britney Spears Las Vegas Residency Extended Until 2017?
Britney is currently in the middle of her “Britney: Piece Of Me” residency show in Las Vegas, which was set to end on February 28, 2015, after her two-year contract, but has reportedly been extended until 2017, in light of its huge success.
Even though she’s busy with a multi-million dollar show and two kids, Jayden James and Sean, we have a feeling that Britney will squeeze in enough time to release her new album sometime soon, and we can’t wait. An insider told us that the pop star is more career-focused than ever, after her split from boyfriend David Lucado.
“The only thing that would cancel any show date would be illness and Britney is in great health and she will completely fulfill her residency,” a source close to Britney exclusively told HollywoodLife.com. “She is not going to allow personal matters to take over business matters. The show will not be changed.”
Britney also told Good Morning Britain that she’s enjoying her routine show schedule so it seems like she’s in a great mindset to keep cranking out her career. “Being based in Vegas and having one show that you just keep going back to, the consistency of that is really grounding and really cool.”
As for Iggy, her collaborations have a track record of becoming hits. “Problem,” which she recorded with Ariana Grande, was certified quadruple platinum, and “Black Widow” with Rita Ora has gone platinum in both the States and Australia. And don’t forget about that “Booty” remix with Jennifer Lopez.
