Lorde certainly is a good sport! The young singer has been made fun of in several episodes of ‘South Park’ where they joke that she is a middle-aged man. In a new interview, the ‘Royals’ singer actually sang the song, ‘I Am Lorde Ya Ya Ya’ just like her character!

Lorde, 17, is the definition of cool! The “Team” singer sat down for an interview with New Zealands, TV3 where she revealed that she is not offended by South Park making fun of her in recent episodes. The young artist actually sang, “I Am Lorde Ya Ya Ya” from the hit show and revealed that she had been singing it for, “an hour” in her hotel room!

Lorde Sings South Park Song — Sing ‘I Am Lorde Ya Ya Ya’

In the short clip, Lorde sings a few seconds of the funny song. She told TV3, how she feels about the show making fun of her, “I was thinking, ‘Yeah he has a moustache… I mean I have a moustache, but is it that prominent?’ But it was someone’s dad pretending to be me,” she said.

Clearly she didn’t take the joke to heart. She revealed, “We actually, in my hotel room, went ‘Ya ya ya ya ya I’m Lorde! Ya ya ya!’ for like an hour, because that’s why they do on the episode, so…”

The singer took to Instagram after the second episode featuring her character aired. She captioned the short clip, “this is actually surprisingly cute – and from what i can tell also has a message of transgender acceptance (i’m still very new with this type of humour so i’m not sure if was actually genuine but it seemed so to me).”

The singer posted a second clip from the show that features a reporter writing a headline about Lorde and calling her a 45-year-old man. Lorde captioned the clip, “also omgggg remorseful hat journalist el oh el.” Clearly she is a big fan of the shows humor!

Lorde Makes History With ‘Yellow Flicker Beat’

Lorde is certainly making plenty of headlines. As previously reported, her latest song, “Yellow Flicker Beat” is the first single off of her upcoming sophomore album, “Pure Heroin.” The song will be part of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 soundtrack and it has already made waves on the charts!

The track made it onto the Top 20 list on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Songs and also had the highest launch on the chart by a female artist since 1995! — Pretty impressive!
