August Alsina Cancels London Concert — Traveling Is Too Risky After Coma
While the 22-year-old is super talented, August’s coma seems to be preventing him from performing, as his team released a statement explaining why he opted out of the London show.
“Due to the well-publicized fall from a stage in New York last month which caused August to be hospitalized for more than a week, his medical team has advised him that it would be unwise to travel such distance so soon into his recovery,” the statement read, according to HotNewHipHop.com. “August has asked us to convey his disappointment and sadness that he will be unable to perform. We all wish him the very best of luck and a speedy recovery.”
Kevin Hart Reacts To August Alsina Canceling Concert
Kevin is very concerned for August. He released a statement, wishing his friend a speedy recovery.
“Naturally, our thoughts and well wishes go out to this young talent,” Kevin, 35, said in a statement. “August and I have spoken and to say he is disappointed is an understatement, but he is also wise enough to realize that his health must take priority over anything else – even my showcase!”
August has a busy schedule ahead of him and it’s unclear if he’ll be able to fulfill his obligations.
In fact, HollywoodLife.com learned August is on the ticket for Usher‘s “UR Experience” tour, which kicks off on Nov. 1 in Montreal, Quebec. The tour will conclude in Tampa, Florida on December 14.
We hope August gets well soon!
