Oh no! The pregnant Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly struggling terribly with severe nausea. It has gotten so bad that she has retreated to her family’s home in Berkshire with Prince George, according to a heartbreaking new report.
Kate Middleton, 32, has reportedly fled home to her parents’ house because she’s still struggling with severe nausea. The Duchess of Cambridge, who is reportedly carrying twin girls, arrived at her family’s home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, this week with her son, Prince George.
Kate Middleton Sick: Pregnant Duchess Of Cambridge Flees Home With Prince George
Kate “hasn’t been at all well” while battling hyperemesis gravidarum, a sickness that causes severe vomiting in expectant mothers, Daily Mail reports.
Unfortunately, due to Kate’s illness, her forthcoming engagements, until at least the week after next, have been cancelled.
On a positive note, however, Kate’s mom, Carole Middleton, has been taking charge of the Duchess’ recovery — she’s allegedly been researching alternative cures for Kate’s condition. Some of her findings reportedly suggest drinking herbal tea.
Carole has also been taking Prince George off her daughter’s hands. And Kate allegedly feels more relaxed at the Middleton family’s mansion, Bucklebury Manor, than at Kensington Palace.
“Kate is feeling so lousy that she just wanted to be with her family and out of public view. She is extremely close to Carole, who is very much a hands-on grandmother. Between her and their nanny, Maria [Borallo], Kate has all the help she needs with George while she is feeling so sick. And Bucklebury is somewhere she can just relax and be herself,” a source told Daily Mail.
Kate Middleton Pregnant: Battling Chronic & Debilitating Condition
If you follow the Royals, you know that Kate was hospitalized with hyperemesis gravidarum and severe dehydration during her first pregnancy with George.
“Hyperemesis gravidarum is not morning sickness. It is a chronic and debilitating condition that can cause sufferers to vomit up to 30 times a day,” Caitlin Dean, of the charity Pregnancy Sickness Support, told Daily Mail.
We feel so terrible that Kate is suffering from the same illness again, but we’re certainly happy she feels comfortable at her mom and dad’s house. We hope she feels better soon.
