So sad. HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that ‘RHOA’ star, Phaedra Parks is taking steps to end her marriage with Apollo Nida after he turned himself in on Sept. 11, to begin serving his 8-year prison sentence.
So upsetting. Phaedra Parks, 43, and husband, Apollo Nida, 35, have definitely had some hard times with Apollo currently serving an 8-year prison sentence for bank fraud and identity theft but, HollywoodLife.com has exclusively learned that the Real Housewives of Atlanta star has officially taken steps towards, “amicably ending her marriage.”
Apollo Nida Phaedra Parks Divorce — Hires Attorney
A rep told HollywoodLife.com exclusively that, “Phaedra has retained an attorney with the intent of amicably ending her marriage.”
While the news is certainly upsetting, a source revealed that it is not a complete surprise. “It’s becoming quite clear here in the A that Phaedra will leave Apollo once he begins serving his time,” our source revealed. “She’s doing it for herself but most importantly, she’s doing it for her boys.”
The couple have two young sons both under the age of four, Dylan and Ayden.
“Phaedra really feels Apollo let their family down. She was left in the dark about a lot of his extra curricular activities which led him to this position that he’s currently in,” our source says. “She’s tired, she’s had enough and feels that ending the marriage is the best thing. She got married to be married. Not to make care packages and visit her husband, in prison, twice a week. That’s not what she signed up for.”
While our source was confident that the divorce was imminent they did not reveal the date. “I don’t. That part has yet to be determined. She will though. She’s not planning on sticking by Apollo for eight years. She’s a great woman and will love you to death, but she’s fed up with Apollo and this time she’s making sure he will never disappoint her or their children again.”
Phaedra Parks Holding Her Head Up High
There is no denying that this must be a very difficult and challenging time for the reality star, but when Apollo’s jail time was first announced Phaedra continued to, “hold her head up high.”
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, a source revealed that, “While most people in her position would be in shambles, Phaedra is holding her head up high and moving forward in her life and keeping her boys loved and occupied.”
