‘The Voice’ Battle Rounds: Alicia Keys Mentors Team Pharrell
Alicia brings her talent to The Voice on the Oct. 13 battle rounds to mentor Pharrell‘s singers, and HollywoodLife.com has your EXCLUSIVE first look!
Alicia tells Pharrell that she’s excited to be joining the show because it’s all about pure talent. Pharrell, who is producing Alicia’s sixth studio album, could not be more excited to have her on his team.
“You really honestly embody what this show is about,” Pharrell says in the sneak peak clip below, exclusively debuted by HollywoodLife.com. “It’s about artists like yourself — artists who embrace what a song is about. It’s not just a great voice that allows you to advance forward. It’s that thing that you set free, that thing that you uncage, is the reason why you’re able to keep going. To me, that’s what I’ve watched you do in your career.”
He raves, “The team would not be the same without Alicia!”
‘The Voice’ Mentors: Gavin Rossdale Teams Up With Wife Gwen Stefani
Aside from Alicia, some of the music industry’s biggest stars are mentoring this season. Little Big Town teams up with Blake Shelton, Stevie Nicks is paired with Adam Levine‘s team and Gavin Rossdale will be with his wife, Gwen Stefani!
Gwen told HollywoodLife.com that she was actually super nervous to work alongside her hubby! “I have to tell you, I went back and forth about having Gavin on because we have only collaborated on babies before,” Gwen joked at a press conference with other reporters. “He’s so musical, and I just didn’t know — you know, you play different roles for different people in your life, and I’m his wife, so it was weird, but it was awesome…We haven’t seen the cut together, but it will be cute.”
