Lorde hits yet another high note in her music career! Her latest single, ‘Yellow Flicker Beat,’ for the ‘Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1’ soundtrack is making waves in the music industry. All hail Lorde!

Lorde, 17, has logged the highest launch by a female on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart as “Yellow Flicker Beat” seals the No. 17 spot. The fierce songstress is the first female to soar the Alternative chart since 1995, just one year before the Grammy Award-winning artist was born, no less!

Lorde’s ‘Yellow Flicker Beat’ Makes History On Billboard Charts

“Yellow Flicker Beat” is the first track that Lorde has released since her breakout album, Pure Heroine. Clearly, a sophomore slump is not the cards for the New Zealand native!

The single is definitely dark, in true Lorde-fashion, but totally perfect for Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1. As you listen to the anthem, you can easily imagine Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) kicking butt!

Her latest track also soared into the Top 20 list on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Songs chart and Rock Airplay chart. Okay Lorde, you are officially making us feel unproductive!

Lorde is also adding producer to her impressive resume! Apparently, the singer is curating the rest of the artists who will sing on the films soundtrack, which hits theaters Nov. 21. The record-breaking singer is well on her to becoming a “royal” in the music industry.

Will BFF Taylor Swift, 24, be one of the lucky few selected for the soundtrack? Taylor was featured on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack, so it would be nice to have her on the soundtrack once again!

Hollywood Lifers, we want to know: Will you have Lorde’s latest single on repeat? Tell us!
