Katy Perry’s Super Bowl Halftime Show — Singer Will Perform At The Big Game
You’re gonna hear her roar!
Katy Perry is set to perform at the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show, sources confirm to our sister site Variety.
Katy recently showed off her sporty side when she made a surprise guest appearance on ESPN’s College Gameday on Oct. 4, when she rocked two Ole Miss red top knots and successfully predicted that Ole Miss would defeat Alabama.
Katy initially turned down the gig due to the new policy that stars are required to pay to perform at the Super Bowl, according to Grantland.com.
In fact, during her College Gameday appearance, Katy dismissed the rumor that she might be this year’s Super Bowl halftime act, saying, “We had some conversations, and I would be honored, of course, but … I have let them know that I’m not the kind of girl that would pay to play the Super Bowl, so … the ball is in their field.”
The NFL has reportedly also asked Coldplay and Rihanna, 26, to play the event. Could there be another surprise performer in store for us?!
The 2015 Super Bowl will take place in Glendale, Ariz. and air Sunday, Feb. 1 on NBC.
