Ever since a tape was released by TMZ of 7th Heaven actor Stephen Collins, 67, allegedly confessing to multiple counts of child molestation and exposure, there has been silence from his camp. After one of Stephen’s neighbors reported that they heard a gunshot coming from his home, it was feared that the actor had committed suicide amid the damaging allegations.

While the Los Angeles Police Department were able to confirm that they arrived at Stephen’s home to investigate reports of a gunshot, according to Variety, Stephen was not home when they arrived.
It was Stephen’s neighbor, Donna D’Errico, who tweeted: “That guy from ‘7th Heaven’ lives right around the corner from me & just shot himself a few minutes ago.”
She later deleted the tweet and apologized for the false report, claiming that she was only going off of what another neighbor told her.
