Fans of the Harry Potter series are used to encountering many riddles and anagrams in the books and movies — and now, J.K. Rowling is giving them yet another puzzle to solve via Twitter! The 49-year-old author teased fans about a project she is currently working on!
This is how it all went down:
After spending some time away from the twittosphere, J.K. Rowling sent out this tweet —
Very busy at the moment working on a novel, tweaking a screenplay and being involved in @lumos campaigns. Back when I’ve finished something!
— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) October 5, 2014
Working on a novel? This could mean another Cormoran Strike novel but we also can’t help but dream about her working on an 8th Harry Potter film!
The screenplay she is referring to is probably for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them — an upcoming trilogy of films based on J.K.’s companion book series. An excited fan replied to her tweet and she responded —
.@peruseproject See, now I’m tempted to post a riddle or an anagram. Must resist temptation… must work… — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) October 5, 2014
Apparently, she couldn’t resist the temptation and tweeted this cryptic message the following morning —
Cry, foe! Run amok! Fa awry! My wand won’t tolerate this nonsense.

Something to ponder while I’m away X — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) October 6, 2014
We cannot seem to solve this riddle, however, the mention of the wand is really exciting! The next day, she tweeted a helpful hint!
#helpfulhint The solution is the first sentence of a synopsis of Newt’s story. It isn’t part of the script, but sets the scene.

Very sneaky, J.K.! Have you been able to rearrange the anagram to make sense, HollywoodLifers?
In August, a new excerpt was released on Pottermore.com which described Celestina as an “international singing sensation” with a dysfunctional personal life. It reveals her career highlights and even her early childhood. In addition to the story, J.K also released a song — the first ever to be posted on the website.
The song was recorded by Universal Orlando Resort at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! So cool!
