Young Bruce Wayne is still grieving over the tragic loss of his parents on ‘Gotham’, and David Mazouz teases to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY about Bruce’s ‘dark’ and ‘lonely’ journey.
The series premiere episode of Gotham featured one of the defining moments of Bruce Wayne’s life — the death of his parents. So, where does Bruce go from here? David Mazouz tells HollywoodLife.com all about Bruce’s “dark” path and his friendship with Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie)!
‘Gotham’: Bruce Wayne’s To Go Down A ‘Dark’ Path
Bruce is currently trying to come to terms with his parents brutal death, and David talks up Bruce’s “interesting” grieving process.
“In the first half of the season, he’s going to be going through a very interesting, unique grieving process, to say the least,” David told HollywoodLife.com. “He’s going to be doing stuff you wouldn’t really think he would do. He’s going to be dark. He’s going to be angry. He’s going to be lonely. He’s going to be scared.”
Well, if we know anything about Batman, it’s that he’s dark (in a totally good way, of course).
“He’s going to have an obsession to find his parents killer or just find any meaning to their death,” David continued. “He’s going to be very, very angry at the world and everybody.”
However, this “dark” journey won’t last for long. Could young Bruce start his crime-fighting a little earlier than originally intended?
All David could dish was, “Maybe.”
‘Gotham’: David Mazouz Talks Bruce & Jim Gordon’s Friendship
One of the main highlights of the series is the budding friendship between Bruce and Jim Gordon. David tells HollywoodLife.com that fans can expect to see that friendship flesh out over the course of the season.
“Bruce looks up to him and they immediately have such a real relationship,” David said. “You’ll see that friendship go through stages. Go through tough times and strong times. You’ll see eventually why Bruce chose Commissioner Gordon to be his inside guy in the police force.”
Gotham airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. on FOX.
