Every story needs a final word — and we’re guessing that will be from Will McAvoy. The official trailer for the final season of ‘The Newsroom’ came out on Oct. 3, and let’s just say it looks like another busy year for ACN.
The final season is almost here! The Newsroom returns to HBO in November, but luckily, the trailer gives us a look inside News Night to see all teh drama go down. While tackling real stories like the horrifying Boston Marathon bombing, we also see the personal lives once again. Will (Jeff Daniels) and Mac (Emily Mortimer) are adjusting to newly-engaged life, while Sloan (Olivia Munn) and Don (Thomas Sadowski) discuss the terms of their own relationships.
‘The Newsroom’ Final Season Trailer
Fraud, social media stories and romance issues? Sounds like The Newsroom to me! Naturally, it also includes quite a few speeches from Will, once again, including the most powerful one, “We don’t do good TV. We do the news!”
Basically, it looks like it’s the first two seasons, just even more of everything — and yes Jane Fonda does return as CEO of Atlantis World Media, Leona Lansing. My one complaint would be the disappearance of Margaret (John Gallagher Jr.) and Jim Harper (Alison Pill). They’re shown briefly early in the preview but never again! After how their relationship ended last season (or didn’t end, whatever), we’re still left in the dark.
Let’s just say, they better be in the season more than they’re in the trailer. What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Will this season be even better than the last? Let us know your thoughts!
