Adam Sandler is heading to Netflix! The streaming site announced on Oct. 2 that it’s partnering with the comedian to release a total of four movies, which he’ll produce and star in.
Adam Sandler, whose movies have delighted hundreds of millions of fans all over the world, will develop and star in four films exclusively for Netflix, the streaming service announced on Oct. 2.

“People love Adam’s films on Netflix and often watch them again and again. His appeal spans across viewers of all ages — everybody has a favorite movie, everyone has a favorite line — not just in the U.S. but all over the world,” Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos said in a news release announcing the deal, according to ABC News.
Adam’s Happy Madison Productions will work alongside Netflix on the four films, which will be fully financed by the streaming service.

Following the announcement, Adam took to Instagram and joked that he was really just trying to sign up for Netflix, but instead, signed up to produce and star in the four movies!
“When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said yes… for one reason and one reason only… Netflix rhymes with Wet Chicks. Let the streaming begin,” he said.
We can’t wait to see what this funny man has in store for us!
Six of Adam’s movies are already streamable on Netflix. And although Adam’s most recent comedy, Blended, was critically panned and a commercial flop, he’s still one of the top 70 highest grossing actors in Hollywood, taking in over $3 billion in box office sales all over the world!
