NBC Sports broadcaster Josh Elliott and WABC-TV co-anchor Liz Cho are engaged! Congrats to the happy, newsy couple.
Josh Elliott, 43, and Liz Cho, 43, are getting married! The low-key couple took the plunge at the tail end of the summer, but their friend Sam Champion spilled the beans and confirmed the happy news via Twitter on Sept. 29, tweeting: “Im not going to b at work tomorrow. @JoshElliott32 and @LizCho7 announced their engagement tnite!!” That’s as good an official announcement as any, we suppose!
Josh Elliott & Liz Cho Engaged: NBC Sports Anchor & WABC-TV Anchor To Wed
As Page Six reported, the couple were on vacation when Josh made the “spur of the moment” decision to propose; “He gave her a simple gold band that was a family heirloom and meant a lot to him. It’s been very low-key.”
The couple have always been unwilling to be the news themselves; when their relationship began in 2012, Josh was a co-anchor of ABC’s Good Morning America, where Liz was co-anchoring New York’s WABC-TV.
Josh Elliot & Liz Cho Are Both Divorced With Children
When Josh left GMA in the spring to take a job at NBC Sports, the couple seemed more willing to be spotted together — as Page Six reports, the two were photographed on vacation in Miami shortly after the news broke of Josh’s exit.
Josh and Liz began their relationship shortly after her divorce from husband Evan Gottlieb, with whom she has one child, Louisa Simone, 7. Josh is in a similar situation; he is divorced from wife Priya Narang Elliott; their daughter, Sarina, is 6 years old and sources told Page Six that the kids “get along well together.”
Our warmest congrats to the happy couple! HollywoodLifers, leave your good vibrations in the comments below.
