While some UFC matches take rounds of action, some are short and brutal. Irish UFC fighter Conor McGregor, 26, totally owned Dustin Poirier, 25, in under two minutes! This first round knockout was one of the best and most shocking match-ups at the Las Vegas event. Check it out!

UFC 178: Conor McGregor Beats Dustin Poirier

Looks like the bad blood between Conor and Dustin will continue. The two fighters trash-talked before their big match on Sept. 27 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and it was Conor who would ultimately walk away the winner.

Despite a decent start, Dustin was no match for Conor. Conor found his opportunity and just started pummeling Dustin. There was no way the 25-year-old could make a comeback for the win.

And this all happened in under two minutes.

Referee Herb Dean eventually had to cut in and stop Conor’s brutal attack. Dustin complained that he got hit in the back of the head, but it didn’t make a difference, Bloody Elbow reports.

Conor had predicted a first round win, and that would seem cocky to some. However, Conor made true on his claim — in a big way.

This marks Conor’s fourth consecutive win in UFC fights, according to MMA Junkie. This guy is on a roll!

Dustin, there’s always next time! We’re looking forward to another match-up between these two. Could Dustin redeem himself?

HollywoodLifers, what did you think of the UFC 178 matchup between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier? Were you glad Conor walked away with a win? Let us know!
