Derek Jeter’s Last Game: See His Career In Pics
We know that Derek won’t be hanging up his hat — he’ll never fully be able to put baseball behind him, and will most likely go on to management or coaching. However, baseball fans everywhere will remember the rainy night that he made his last home appearance. The last series of the year will be held in Boston at Fenway Park, but it is not yet confirmed whether or not Jeter will play. Joe Gerardi will leave it up to him.
At 40, Jeter is known for not only being talented, successful, and insanely humble, but also for his selflessness and kindness. We have the utmost respect for him, and are so sad to see him go. In his honor, we’re flipping through some of our favorite pics of Jeter over the past two decades.
Do you have a favorite Jeter moment, HollywoodLifers? Are you crying yet? (Don’t worry, I am.)
So long, Captain — the Yanks will never be the same.
