In a game called ‘5-Second Summaries,’ Andy Samberg and Jimmy Fallon try to guess the movie based on their respective, well, five-second summaries. (And then three-second, and then one-second.) As you might imagine, it gets hilarious. Watch the video!
Promoting the upcoming season of Brooklyn Nine Nine, fellow Saturday Night Live alum Andy Samberg, 36, stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to play a game called “5-Second Summaries,” and the stakes were high (even though neither could discern how points were actually earned). Check it out!

The loser would have to buy burgers for their foe’s crew, and we couldn’t even spoil the winner if we wanted to! Both Andy and Jimmy Fallon, 40, are equally confused by the rules, and when the game is over, they leap out of their chairs and engage in an enthusiastic embrace.
Five-second summaries were difficult enough, but the game dissolved into laughter pretty quickly when the rules were changed to three-second and then one-second summaries.
Andy Samberg: Season 2 Of Award-Winning ‘Brooklyn Nine Nine’ Begins Sept. 28
They started out by legitimately trying to describe the movies — “a relationship via the internet in the 1990s,” for You’ve Got Mail — and then Andy just gave up and began doing impressions. Andy broke out his Nicolas Cage impression (Con Air), and Jimmy his Sylvester Stallone impression (The Expendables).
That has got to be against the rules, but they didn’t seem to mind too much. (Because, again, they didn’t really know how to play the game.)
Regardless, it was pretty hilarious. Do you agree, HollywoodLifers? Which was the funniest summary? And will you be tuning in to the premiere of Brooklyn Nine Nine on Sept. 28? Let us know!
