‘Chicago P.D.’ Returns: Halstead Grills Lindsay Over Voight’s Motives

Season two of ‘Chicago P.D.’ picks up just where season one ended — all of Intelligence wondering what happened to Jin. In a new sneak peek, Halstead reveals what he thinks happened, and Lindsay does not want to hear it.

There’s one thing Detective Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) knows, and it’s that she can 100 percent trust Voight (Jason Beghe). However, her partner doesn’t feel the same. Take a look at a clip of the September 24 premiere of Chicago P.D. right here and it does not look pretty — will you be watching?

‘Chicago PD’ Season 2 Premiere: Who Killed Jin?

Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) has always questioned Voight — and now, it’s reached a new level. Following the death of Jin (Archie Kao) at the end of last season, the whole unit was left wondering what happened.

In the clip above, we see Lindsay meet Halstead at the bar, where he asks her an honest question.

“So let me ask you something, straight up. Do you think there’s any shot that Voight was involved in Jin’s murder?” he asks her. “Are you out of your mind?” She of course tells him there’s no way that Voight was involved, but Halstead’s follow up isn’t what she wants to hear.

Halstead Presses Lindsay About Voight

“Do you really think that you know everything about this guy?” he asks. Of course, we don’t see her answer — but I guess we’ll just have to tune in! We know we will find out if Voight is responsible for the death on the new episode.

“His murder hasn’t been solved yet so you have the team wanting to know what the hell is going on, in particular Halstead, who has never really carried Voight’s water,” writer and producer Matt Olmstead told TVGuide.com. “But then you have Lindsay who’s loyal and maybe even an apologist for Voight. We play the mystery of who killed Jin, and then certainly the ramifications of, once that mystery is solved, how people feel about who did it and why.”

Tune in to see the premiere of Chicago P.D. on NBC at 10pm ET. Are you planning to watch, HollywoodLifers?
