Rob Bironas Crash — New 911 Call Surfaces
The Daily Mail reports that a couple was driving in Tennessee when they came across the deadly crash. Before Rob perished they called 911, “There is something wrong with him,” said the unnamed caller to the 911 operator. “He gave us a mean look. We don’t even know him, and he tried to run us off the road.”
“We let him go on past us because he was trying to run us off the road and we don’t know who he is,” she said “… We just pulled out of his way, and we saw all this smoke and pulled over.”
The Tennessean reports that the couple was called back to the scene of the crime the next day to show police exactly where the events occurred.
Metro police spokesman Don Aaron said, “They said the driver swerved back, gave them a dirty look and got behind them and was behind them at the intersection on Franklin and Battery. At the stoplight of Franklin and Battery, they said the white SUV was revving its engine behind them.”
The couple then pulled over to let the SUV go by them, but when the driver stopped and stared at them, the woman’s husband reportedly got out of their vehicle.
Don said,”Then the white SUV accelerated away at a high rate of speed. They paused a few moments, continued traveling on Battery Lane and came upon the crash.”
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Rob was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville where he was later pronounced dead.
According to TMZ, “Cops also say there was no evidence of alcohol or drugs. They believe Bironas was heading home … because the accident occurred less than a mile from his house.”
The former NFL player married NFL legend Terry Bradshaw‘s daughter Rachel in June 2014 in Dallas, Texas.
Our thoughts go out to Rob’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
