Are you ready for ‘Faking It’ season two, Karmy fans? Rita Volk talked to HollywoodLife.com all about the new season and what to expect from Amy after that crazy finale.
The Faking It season one finale ended with one of the biggest O-M-G moments we’ve ever seen. Rita Volk who plays Amy, told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY what’s in store for Amy and Karma (Katie Stevens) after Liamgate and Amy’s heartfelt confession, including possible new love interests for Amy and an “inevitable” revelation.
‘Faking It’ Season Two: Rita Volk Talks All Things Amy & Karma
We’re still picking our jaws off the floor after the season one finale of Faking It. After Amy professed her love for BFF Karma and was met by unrequited love, Amy slept with Karma’s main man, Liam (Gregg Sulkin).
Hold up, what does that mean for Amy? Rita told HollywoodLife.com that her shocking tryst doesn’t mean we’re going to be experiencing a revamped love triangle between Amy, Liam and Karma.
“It doesn’t do anything to change her sexuality or where she’s at with everything going on,” Rita said. “She just made a really bad mistake and she doesn’t wake up thinking ‘Oh, I like boys now’ or ‘I have feelings for Liam.’ She wakes up very aware that this should not have happened and she tries to kind of push it under the rug and avoid it from ever coming out.”
“I think that she’s obviously doing it to protect Karma,” Rita said. “She’s doing it because there’s too much at stake and she doesn’t want to jeopardize their relationship.”
However, that doesn’t mean this secret, which will devastate Karma, won’t come out.
“I think that it is inevitable and it’ll probably come out at some point,” Rita revealed to HollywoodLife.com.
We have a feeling we’re not nearly emotionally prepared enough for this.
‘Faking It’ Season Two: Is There A New Love Interest For Amy On The Horizon?
With Karma still head over heels in love with Liam, where does this leave Amy? Rita opened up about Amy’s romantic future and how she’ll be becoming more comfortable in her own skin this season.
“She’s going to explore her sexuality a lot more and in a more successful way than she did in season one,” Rita told HollywoodLife.com. “She’s going to be a lot better at it because she’s more comfortable with who she is and she’s owning up to these feelings that she’s happening.”
Does this mean there’s no hope for Karmy? Never say never, but these two BFF have some major hurdles to jump over before they are considering a romantic relationship.
Faking It returns for season two on Sept. 23 at 10:30 p.m. ET on MTV.
