Charlo Greene is a broadcaster formerly of Alaska’s KTVA 11 who is about to inspire all of your work-related revenge fantasies. Charlo quit her position with a flourish, telling a live audience: ‘F*** it, I quit.’ Check out the clip!
As she reported on the Alaska Cannabis Club for Alaska’s KTVA CBS 11, broadcaster Charlo Greene revealed that she’s actually the owner of the club. Charlo went out with bang, dropping an F-bomb and telling her audience: “F*** it, I quit.” Watch the video — it’s pretty spectacular.
Charlo Greene Quits Live On Air On Alaska’s KTVA 11: ‘F*** It, I Quit’ — Watch
The best part of the video, however, has got to be Charlo’s ex-coworker scrambling to recover after the on-air disaster. Poor woman.
Following her departure, Charlo set up an Indiegogo campaign in order to raise funds for spreading the word across Alaska in an upcoming vote that may tip the scales in the favor of marijuana smokers.
The Alaska Cannabis’ Club’s goal is to connect medical marijuana cardholders with local growers, and Charlo has already far surpassed the original $5,000 goal set with 15 days still left to go.
Charlo Greene: KTVA Apologizes For Her Broadcaster’s Expletive-Filled Outburst
Following her outburst, KTVA 11 tweeted: “Viewers, we sincerely apologize for the inappropriate language used by a KTVA reporter on the air tonight. The employee has been terminated.” You guys — she had already quit.
In a statement, KTVA CBS 11 News Director Bert Rudman apologized for Charlo’s actions:
“By now many of you have seen one of our reporters use inappropriate language and quit her job during Sunday night’s newscast. We apologize.
“In addition, she had a personal and business stake in the issue she was reporting, but did not disclose that interest to us. This betrayed the basic bedrock of responsible journalism.
“At KTVA we strive to live up to the highest journalistic standards of fairness and transparency. Sunday’s breach of those standards is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated.
“Thank you for watching our news broadcasts and be reassured our mission is to present the kind of journalism that lets you make informed decisions about the community in which we all live.”
HollywoodLifers, what do you think about Charlo’s actions? is she an inspiration to trailblazers everywhere, or did her whole life just go up in smoke? (…Get it?)
