Slender Man Stabbing Victim Ready To Tell Her Survival Story On ’20/20′
This story shook the nation and terrified parents everywhere in June 2013. Now, the story has a happy ending that is ready to be revealed to the world.
On Friday, Sept. 26, 20/20 will premiere the first-ever one-on-one interview with the 12-year-old girl who survived being stabbed 19 times. That same girl was then left to bleed out and die in the woods, but she refused to do so — and somehow found the strength to crawl until she found help.
“She said, ‘I wanted to live,'” the girl’s mother explains through tears in the first preview for the upcoming one-hour special.
For the first time, the survivor’s parents describe the moment they realized their daughter was put in grave danger — and how they desperately tried to remain strong for her sake.
“I hugged her and I said, ‘You’re gonna be okay. It’s gonna be fine,’ but I could see that she was covered in stab wounds,” the girl’s mother continues, choking up as she recalls what can only be described as every parents worst nightmare.
In the first footage from the interview we get a glimpse of the little girl — but only the back of her — as she displays she is full of life strolling through the park, walking to school, and even playing with a cat.
The special is also set to investigate why these two girls, Morgan and Anissa, would allegedly plot something so horrifying in the name of a fictional character: Slender Man.
